Gizmo and Widget are ready for their forever home!
When these cute, friendly, little Shih-Tzu arrived they had been shaved down by the shelter due to a flea infestation, and they had kennel cough. So they had a rough start, but were troopers through it all. They have been nothing but sweet, friendly, lovable little snuggle bugs.
They finally are feeling great, their hair is growing back and they are ready to find a home. We think Gizmo (white) is 6 and Widget (black) is 7 years old. They came in together and do LOVE to play together so we do want to keep them together. We know it won't be easy finding someone looking for two dogs, but we hope the right family is out there.
They are doing very well in their foster home. Still working on potty training but making good progress. They don't pee in the house during the day and at night they are wearing belly bands but they have been dry for the last week or so.
They play together and enjoy each other's company. They get along with other dogs well and walk on a leash very well. They seem to like their walks. They have also discovered toys and will take them all out of the box and play with every toy.
They are neutered, UTD on shots, microchipped and negative for heartworms.
We hope someone out there is willing to open their home to two sweet boys.

More about this rescue
Homes Fur Hounds Inc. was formed to help the overwhelming number of animals that are abandoned, surrendered to county agencies and simply unwanted. These animals are facing death due to no fault of their own other than not being convenient. Our mission is to help stop the unnecessary killing of animals. Thousands of animals are put to sleep (some more humanely than others) every day. We strive to educate the public on the importance of spaying, neutering, heartworm preventive and general health care. We also strive to help owners who are experiencing difficulties with their pet find solutions to their problems. By helping them find solutions we keep the animals out of the county pounds and from being abandoned. It is our policy to adopt out only healthy dogs and to do our best to know and understand what type of home the dog needs. We are always striving to find that “forever home” for the animals.
