Dansby is one of the very beautiful 3 year old hunting beagles we took in recently with her sister Elsa. As you can see in the pictures, she is quickly falling in love with being an inside family pet. She even snuggles on the couch with her poodle foster sister.
Dansby is very sweet and a bit shy at first. She is adjusting well to being a pet and has done really well with housebreaking. She is also discovering toys and likes to carry her toys around and take them to her bed.
She is a little bit of a "talker" and does bark at neighbors going by so she will need a bit of training. She will come to you when called and her barking seems to be something she does when she wants to play rather than an aggressive bark.
Dansby is not as food motivated as most beagles and will sometimes not even eat all her food. She is a slow eater and has no food aggression.
She is friendly and playful with people and with the foster poodle in the home. She was a little nervous at the vet's office but did fine. The longer she is here the more we see her wonderful, fun personality.

We require an application. Once the application is received we check personal and vet references and if renting, we verify with leasing company that pets are allowed. If that is approved, we set up a meeting with the pet. We then perform a home check. If the person wants to adopt, we require a contract and our adoption fee is $300.00. Our dogs are all spayed/neutered, HW tested, up to date on shots and micro-chipped.
