1-year-old Chihuahua Mix

H-hi… I’m Mort. I’m a tiny little guy with a big heart, but I’ve been through a lot, so I’m still learning how to feel safe. I want to trust people so badly — I just need someone patient who will let me go at my own pace.

I’m playful, silly, and I love other dogs, especially small dogs. Having a confident doggy sibling really helps me come out of my shell and learn how to be a “normal dog.” It makes me feel safe and brave.

I’m crate trained, potty trained, and I know some basic commands like sit, down, and stay. I’m smart — I just need someone who believes in me.

Because I get scared easily, I need a quiet home with no kids and a small, calm family who understands that healing takes time. A fenced yard would make me feel extra safe too.

I dream of a home that will be patient, gentle, and willing to work with me. I will need professional training to build confidence, but mostly I need love, space, and understanding.

Adoption FEE: $450 which includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals.

A Mercy Full Project (MFP) Adoption Application MUST BE COMPLETED in order for you to be considered as a potential adopter. By filling out the MFP Adoption Application you agree and understand that ADOPTION IS NOT GUARANTEED. We are not first come, first served and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption. You will be contacted by an Adoption Coordinator once your application has gone through the approval process. Please ONLY APPLY IF you are ready to commit to adoption.

All Dogs / Puppies / Cats / Kittens are up to date on age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, flea/heart worm prevention, and are microchipped prior to adoption. If you are meeting a puppy or kitten that is not ready for adoption there may be a waiting period until they are fully ready to go home.

Adoption fee - Along with the individual animals vetting and daily care costs, the adoption fee helps Mercy Full Project cover additional vet bills, maintain their facility, and cover the cost of their operations in order to rescue more animals in need.
