My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Date of Birth: 8/29/23
Adoption Fee: $100.00
Date Posted: 11/7/25

Hi! My name is Jolene. Everybody knows that Dolly Parton is one of the kindest yet toughest humans on the whole planet! Foster mom decided to name my babies and me after her because all of us are sweet survivors too. It has only been a few months but it seems like a lifetime ago that I delivered those tiny little things. I was alone in the woods starving to death but nothing would stop me from taking care of my precious babies. Someone finally found us and took us to a rural shelter in North Georgia. I was terrified but I knew I had to keep going to give the babies a chance. Everything changed when the rescue lady came to pick us up. I finally had a warm bed and lots of yummy food. I was no longer alone. I am a small girl with a beautiful fawn-colored tan and white coat. My Tabby markings are very faint adding an interesting touch to my good looks. I really adore spending time with my humans. I enjoy being close to my person receiving pets and providing serene companionship. I will be fine as a single kitty as long as my person is able to spend time with me each day. I will also do well with a calm feline friend but would need a proper introduction as I tend to be the "alpha" kitty in the room. My foster mom thinks I have not always been a stray cat because of my strong desire to be with humans. She believes someone abandoned me when they realized I was pregnant. My initial skepticism around other adult kitties may be because I had to defend myself and my babies a few times after someone left me behind. Life wasn't easy for a bit but I know things are going to be just fine now. I am a remarkable little lady ready to live my best life with people who will always love me. I hope to go home with my forever family soon. I will be here waiting to meet you!

More about this rescue

Pippi’s Place Pet Rescue is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to reducing the number of unwanted cats and kittens through the support of local Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs as well as placement of available felines in permanent homes.

We will rescue animals who are homeless due to owner surrender, endangered due to abandonment/neglect/abuse, and those at risk of being euthanized at area shelters.

We will place feline companions in loving homes following a comprehensive screening process which includes ensuring a good match between the animal and prospective adopter as well as educating potential adopters about the responsibilities associated with bringing a cat into their home.

All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, receive appropriate veterinary care including any necessary treatment, and will be placed in caring foster homes until the time of adoption.

We will work closely with local shelters and other rescue organizations to promote the importance of spaying/neutering companion animals. We will work with these agencies to develop a network of supporters and volunteers so that we may create a better world for homeless animals.
