Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Violet 💜 She is an amazing, sweet girl. When she sees her favorite volunteers, her entire body wiggles with happiness. She keeps her kennel nice and neat. She loves exploring the play yard, the occasional zoomie and taking nice, quiet walks. What’s the catch? Why hasn’t she been adopted?? Violet is fearful of new things. Loud noises. Not in a fight way but in a flight way. She has some fears around men and big dogs but does have some small dog friends. She takes her time to warm up but when she does, she’s so happy and fun. All she needs is time, patience and love. If you are looking for that dog, the one that is often overlooked, the one that is shy, the one that will fill your heart full of love when you break through that barrier…Violet is your girl.
Est. DOB: 8/15/19 16 lbs. AAR does not transport for adoption.
Violet is enjoying a foster home. Please email dogadoptteam@aartexas.org to schedule a time to meet her.

More about this rescue
Abandoned Animal Rescue is a no-kill dog / cat shelter located in Magnolia serving Northwest Harris and Southern Montgomery Counties in Texas. It is staffed by dedicated volunteers devoted to saving the lives of homeless and unwanted companion animals.
AAR's mission is to work towards ending pet overpopulation that results in the euthanasia of unwanted cats and dogs. We do this by providing a rescue and adoption center, by emphasizing the importance of spaying and neutering and by educating on humane animal ownership. AAR is committed to the emotional, physical, and behavioral well being of each animal in our care.
All animals surrendered to the shelter are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and wormed; dogs are tested for heartworms and, if positive, are treated prior to adoption.
All operating money for AAR comes from
clinic and adoption fees, donations, and fundraisers. AAR receives no government money or assistance.
