My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! It’s me, Cayenne… the spunkiest, dash of spice you’ll ever meet! My life hasn’t always been easy; not long ago, I was found alone, very sickly, and scared. It was a tough start for a little girl, but everything changed the moment I was welcomed into SNIPSA. I made a major comeback thanks to their care, and thanks to them, my personality has truly been popping!

I’m a smart Shepherd mix which means I have plenty of “puppy pep” and a sharp mind that’s ready to learn all the new tricks you can teach me. When I’m not busy exploring or wrestling with friends, you can find me looking for a lap to curl up on. I’m a world-class cuddler who just wants to be close to my person.

I’ve overcome so much to get here, and now I’m just looking for a forever family to share my extra kick of love and energy with. I’m so eager to meet you! Fill out an application today!

More about this rescue

SNIPSA is an organization formed by a group of veterinarians and caring individuals dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted animals in San Antonio and the surrounding area. SNIPSA does not have a standing shelter and depends on a core of volunteers to foster and rehabilitate animals in their homes. This provides us with the opportunity to learn first hand about the animal’s needs and behavior in order to facilitate an appropriate adoption. SNIPSA was incorporated in 2005 and has re-homed more than 3000 animals.
