My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Walter – A True Survivor with a Heart of Gold

Walter is a handsome 3-year-old black and white gentleman who is ready to leave his past behind and begin the next chapter of his life with a family who will cherish him. Found outside with serious injuries, Walter endured multiple surgeries and a skin graft, and came through it all with strength and resilience. Today, he is fully healed and has blossomed into the loving, affectionate cat he was always meant to be.

Walter absolutely adores people and has proven to be wonderfully gentle with children. He’s happiest when snuggled up close or enjoying a good petting session, and he’ll reward you with endless affection. Since he prefers to be the center of attention, Walter is looking for a home where he can be the king of his castle—the only pet in the household.

As an added bonus, Walter even had a dental done recently, so he’s all set and ready to go home with a fresh smile.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who has overcome great odds and is ready to give his whole heart to his family, Walter is your guy. He can’t wait to find his forever home filled with love, comfort, and cozy snuggles.

Walter is a shorthaired black and white tuxedo cat who is about 3 years old. He is fixed, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, FIV/FELV negative, and microchipped.

Walter is currently being cared for by our rescue, but would like to become a part of your family today! The adoption fee of $125 will benefit other CPR rescue animals.

More about this rescue

CPR is a foster/volunteer based rescue, with a 501c(3) non-profit status, dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned animals. We do not have a central "shelter" as all of our animals are placed in foster homes until forever homes can be found. Our goal is to rescue as many animals as we can safely manage thru foster homes. We rescue dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, birds and other small animals.
