My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please share far and wide and let’s get this kid adopted by a wonderful family! Thank you for helping to save a dog’s life!

Pixie

Pixie is an adorable 4 year young little girl. She loves her humans so much and will always greet them with a big smile and some tail wags. She enjoys taking walks around the neighborhood and exploring new places. She isn’t much of a fan of loud noises but loves playing fetch and going on car rides.

Pixie gets along well with small, gentle animals but prefers the company of her people. She has an endearing personality, loves cuddles and belly rubs, and is a great snuggler. When not melting hearts for a treat, she can be found inspecting the perimeter of the garden and sniffing around outside. Pixie loves nothing more than spending time with her family and will always be a faithful companion.

Pixie weighs 11 lbs., is microchipped, spayed, and up-to-date with all of her shots.

According to Google Image Search, Pixie appears to be a Poochon.

A Poochon is a hybrid breed resulting from a cross between a Bichon Frise and a Toy or Miniature Poodle.

Here's some information about Poochons:

* Appearance and Temperament: Poochons are known for their cuddly, teddy-bear-like looks and are generally considered intelligent, trainable, friendly, and affectionate.

* Size: They are typically small dogs, with a weight range of 3–7kg and a lifespan of 12–15 years.

* Hypoallergenic Qualities: Poochons are often considered hypoallergenic due to their non-shedding coat, although it's important to note that no dog is truly 100% hypoallergenic.

* Grooming: Their fluffy coat requires regular grooming to maintain its condition.

* Health: As with any breed, they can be prone to certain health concerns inherited from their parent breeds, such as allergies or eye diseases.

All we know is that Pixie would make a great addition to any loving home.

Additional Media:

Somewhat dated video about us.  Ken-Mar Rescue has saved close to 2,000 lives since our founding in 2007

Please note:

We are located in Northern California, near Yosemite. So transportation logistics may be an issue. Especially if things do not work out, how would the orphan be returned to us?

Would you be the primary adopters? Responsible for future care, feeding and future annual vet visits and medical expenses? Please consider these things before applying.
