My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED

Have you ever heard the saying, “Find a penny, pick it up, and all day long you’ll have good luck”? Well, meet Penny — a one-of-a-kind, beautifully colored rough Collie girl who might just be the lucky change you didn’t know you needed.

Penny’s story didn’t start off shiny. Her early days were dull and quiet, without much of the love or guidance a dog like her deserves. But like that copper coin you find in your pocket after a long day, she’s ready to be rediscovered and polished into something truly special.

Penny is looking for a home with a confident human by her side — someone who understands that trust is earned, not rushed. She also thrives with a canine friend who can show her the ropes and help her navigate the world. She has so much potential, and with just a little patience and understanding, she’ll transform right before your eyes.

Pups like Penny don’t come around often. She’s rare, like finding a heads-up penny on the sidewalk just when you need a sign that things are turning around. She’s waiting for someone who can see her value, invest a little time, and watch her shine.

If you’re ready to add a little luck and a lot of love to your life, Penny might just be the change you’ve been waiting for.

Penny is still a bit wary of life so we feel a home with dog savvy kids is best to allow her the space to continue her journey to becoming the confident Collie girl we know she has hidden inside.

If Penny strikes your fancy and you are ready to help her continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! And if Penny is not your cup of tea, we have many more Collies of all ages coming in weekly. Please visit https://tristatecollierescue.org/how-to-adopt/ to complete the adoption application.

Penny is being fostered in OH (Columbus area).

If you are interested in this dog; and wish additional information, you MUST submit an application on our website. Once we receive your application, an interviewer will call you and try to answer any additional questions you may have.
