Dash is a handsome 2-year old male Boxer mix who was brought to the HSOV on August 26, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who found him on Melody Lane in Marietta Ohio. Dash was accompanied by Helen (a female Black Labrador Retriever mix). Neither Dash nor Helen were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped.
Dash has a dark brown/brindle short smooth coat with a small patch of white on his chest, a few white toes on his left back paw, a long tail, and a beautiful face with dark brown eyes, black shading on his muzzle, and a black button nose. Dash has extra-large, super-sized erect ears which gives him a very unique appearance.
These photos were taken as Dash and Helen were waiting to enter our shelter. Thanks to HSOV Kennel Tech Lauryn Hamilton for staying close to Dash while helping him with intake pictures and also for reassuring him that he was in a good place with folks who already loved him.
Dash weighs 32 lbs.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Dash was held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Sadly, as of closing time on August 30th, nobody has called or came looking for either Dash or Helen.
