Tiago was dumped at a kill shelter at 10 years old by his owner. His history is one of abuse and neglect, but this old man still has plenty of miles left. Tiago has had an unimaginably difficult life so far, but we hope he can find peace and know love now that he's with MAD. Now we're looking for a guardian angel to save him and give him a forever where he can know love, joy, safety and peace.

Neutered and UTD on vaccines
Would prefer to be the only dog - has been traumatized by previous dog attacks. Would need a very experienced handler to manage with another dog.
Wants pets on his own terms. Grumpy old man vibes
Enjoys going for walks and on car rides
Loves to play fetch! Ball obsessed!
Loves treats!
Potty trained and house trained
Crate trained but also non-destructive if left free-roaming
Knows basic commands
Not recommended with cats/kids
Old man symptoms… achy joints, partial vision loss, lower energy
Been in rescue since August 2025!
All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and 6 month subscription.

We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Our home address is in Michigan, however, the majority of our dogs are not located in Michigan. The physical location of each dog is posted with the name of the pet or in the title area. If you are within 4 hours of the pet, please be prepared to pick the pet up. We do provide transport assistance up to 350 miles. The applicant must drive the remainder of the distance of the transport.

Interview
We interview applicants and 3 references. References include 2 non-family members and 1 vet.
Home Check
After a successful Home Visit the applicant is eligible to review available dogs and talk to state coordinators about making a good match.
Approve Application
Pay Fee
All MAD dogs are UTD and spayed or neutered. An adoption fee will apply to any dog that is adopted after completing the above process.
