My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Changed a little more. Think that’s enough but not totally scaring someone off

Meet Maggie

This stunning 2-year-old, 22-pound Collie mix rolled into our shelter as a stray. No one came looking… but that just means her real forever person is still out there — and oh my goodness, she deserves them.

Maggie is fully potty trained, incredibly smart, and observant — always watching, always taking things in.

But here’s what you need to know:
Maggie is very timid with new people and unknown situations. We don’t know her past, but we do know she’s selective with who she trusts — and that’s okay. She’s also incredibly strong-willed. She knows what (and who!) she feels safe with, and she isn’t afraid to set her boundaries. Because of that, she’ll need a home that truly understands her needs.

She’ll thrive best in a home with:
•No children
•Experienced, patient owners
•Someone willing to visit her a couple of times at the shelter to build that initial bond
•A person ready to guide her gently, help her grow, and teach her how to respond confidently to the world around her

Maggie is truly special — and absolutely worth every ounce of time you pour into her.
