Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Junior’s journey began when he was found wandering the streets and brought into the Bullhead City shelter as a stray. Shortly after the shelter posted about him, a call came in from someone claiming to be his owner. They explained that they lived in California and had been visiting family in Bullhead City when Junior slipped away. Sadly, they couldn’t find him before returning home. At first, they said they would come back to get him—but they never did.

When the shelter reached overcapacity, our organization, Positive Paws, stepped in and took Junior into our care on August 11, 2025. Since moving into his foster home, he’s been thriving! We’re finally getting to know his true personality—something that’s hard to see in a shelter environment—and he’s proving to be an absolute sweetheart.

1.
Submit Application

Adoption application is found on our website.

2.
Interview

a phone interview is where more information can be obtained about the potential adopter and we can go over their application, etc.

3.
Home Check

This is where a Positive Paws member goes over to meet the potential owner and makes sure it's a safe environment for the pet.

4.
Meet the Pet

The potential adopter will meet the pet and if necessary a meet n' greet with their pet/pets.

5.
Approve Application

If everything goes well and potential owner wishes to adopt, application will get approved.

6.
Sign Adoption Contract

An adoption contract will be signed and the transfer of ownership and all records for the pet.

7.
Pay Fee

Adoption fee will be paid at the time the contract is signed.

Go meet their pets

Positive Paws BHC has a room at the Bullhead City Community Center. This is where the meetings will happen, along with the first meet n' greet.
Adoption Events are done in the city of Bullhead. Working on a site now to hold one the second Saturday of every month at our Bullhead City Shelter.
