Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Milo is a male gray tabby, born on June 15, 2025. He is the Gentle Explorer. He has soft stripes and eyes full of curiosity. He has that perfect kitten mix of playfulness and sweetness — one moment pouncing on leaves, the next curling up like a tiny ball of fluff. Milo is gentle-natured and loves to explore, always ready to discover new nooks, climb a little higher, and then pause for cuddles when the adventure winds down. He is playful, curious, and affectionate, Indoor cat only! The adoption fee is $50. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR, Rabies, flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment. We are located in Western North Carolina, but we serve New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and additional areas with our transport. The adoption fee covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR or FVL-CP, Rabies, Flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment before transport. All of our pets receive a health certification prior to transport. The transport is weekly. After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery.

We are located in Western North Carolina. All of our pets are housed with foster parents. You may visit our pets in North Carolina, but call ahead so that we can make them available to you. We serve Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and additional areas with our weekly transport.

Rutherford County Humane Society is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that has been serving Rutherford County since 1979, with the mission to significantly improve the lives of unwanted and neglected animals, and to measurably decrease this number through our spay and neuter programs, volunteer foster homes, and outreach and education. We are an independent organization that works in collaboration with other area animal advocacy groups. All of our efforts depend on our passionately compassionate volunteers, and financial support from the community. We have made the decision to use our resources to continue promoting the number one solution to our pet overpopulation problem - and that is spay/neuter.
