Rocco is an 8 year old, loyal and devoted German Shepherd who needs a new home since his beloved owner suddenly passed away and there is no one in the family who can take him in.
He loves people and kids (he lived happily with a 5 year old), is great on a leash, obedience trained, and good in the car.
He already knows some commands: SIT, DOWN, WAIT, STAY, COME, ENOUGH, OUTSIDE, FOOD.
Rocco needs to be your one-and-only dog in the home. He can be introduced and supervised around another dog but he does not understand how to play appropriately. He needs a home with no cats.
Sweet-natured and affectionate, Rocco thrives on companionship and just wants to be with you and be your loyal companion all the time. He would love someone who is home most of the time and who enjoys taking long walks as much as he does; he loves his sniffer walks. The walking would have to be where there are not a lot of other dogs so you both can enjoy the walk.
A home with a yard would be ideal since he adores being outside.
He will chew up toys so he needs hard rubber toys, and should be supervised around them. He likes any kind of game where he has to search and find treats that are hidden.
This loyal and good boy has so much love left to give, and he’s hoping for a second chance with someone who’ll cherish him as much as he’ll cherish them. He might just be your ideal companion to share life's joys and adventures.
