Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rocky was picked up on the mean streets of Argentina by a couple who intended him for their son, who unfortunately couldn’t keep him. This 2-year old, 20-pound mix breed is a friendly, happy dog. Full of puppy energy, he is always looking to play and he doesn’t seem to have an aggressive bone in his body, except when chasing after a housefly. He has all the makings of a perfect family dog. And he would love to live with a fellow canine playmate as he’s always ready for a full-on romp. He would be very happy in an active household.
For a dog with his background, Rocky’s résumé is impressive:
✅ Excellent in a crate (seriously, gold star material).
✅ Excellent with other dogs (instant bestie).
✅ Seems cool with kids (future snack-sharing partners).
Rocky learned his survival skills as a street dog. He can be a little skittish when you first meet him but warms up quickly and then is very loving and playful. No dog is more joyful to see you in the morning. He loves to be outside and would be very happy with a fenced-in yard. He is desperate for food and especially table scraps, and he’s working on his house training skills. Everything is a potential toy. He is clever and so wants to please that training comes quickly.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
