Zeke is a 5-year-old Labrador/Great Dane mix, weighing around 65 lbs and standing about 25” at the shoulder. Don’t let his breed mix fool you—he’s a compact snuggle bug who adores affection and never met a stranger he didn’t like!
Zeke loves his daily walks and does great using a gentle leader. He’s polite when meeting new people, sitting patiently for attention (or gracefully accepting if none is offered). Professionally trained, he’s maintained excellent manners, is crate trained, and sleeps in his crate each night.
He enjoys playing with his favorite foster brother, but in the right home, he could do well as an only dog. He’s had past exposure to cats and was curious but respectful.
Zeke enjoys sunbathing, leisurely walks, chasing a ball (his version is usually one-way!), and snuggling close while gazing at you with his gorgeous amber eyes. He’s treat-motivated and eager to learn commands like sit, stay, and shake.
Due to past untreated ear infections, Zeke will require lifelong ear medication twice a week, which he handles very well.
Zeke would thrive in a calm home with a dog-savvy adopter willing to continue his training. He’ll be a loyal, fun, and loving companion to his forever family.

Since our formation in early 2013, we have helped save thousands of cats and dogs throughout Idaho from neglect, abuse, and death. Many of our rescues come from the Burley Idaho Animal Shelter where PAWS has transformed what was once a high kill facility to a shelter where every adoptable animal gets a second chance! PAWS also takes in stray pets from all over Idaho including Twin Falls, Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. We work our very hardest to respond to every call for help!
PAWS Rescue, Inc. saves all breeds of cats and dogs of all ages as well as animals who have been hit by cars, shot, abandoned, abused, and neglected.
Rescued animals are placed in loving foster homes or transferred to other no kill partner facilities giving them a chance to find the perfect forever home. Our efforts give these deserving animals a second chance at a happy life.
Every animal receives veterinary evaluation and care, including spay/neuter and vaccines, as well as treatment for any other medical issue they may have. No animal is ever euthanized due to expense.
