My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you the type of cat lover who likes cats who look down at humans with disdain except that special someone who captures their heart? Then Malkia could be the one for you.

She won't interrupt your work by laying on your keyboard and playing with your paperwork, instead she will find a soft space nearby to hang with while you work.

At night she'll climb into bed and curl up by your legs or side and purr while you give her the attention she's been patiently waiting for.

Malkia would be happiest being the only feline in the house, but she can live with a dog with previous cat experience who will respect her personal space. She is great at sharing her foster mom's bed with the current resident dog.

Malkia likely had a rough start to life because she was rescued from the streets, so she is not used to being picked up and held, but with the right home, it is likely something she would learn to love.

She is a reserved, mellow cat, looking for an equally mellow forever home.

Malkia was born around May 23, 2023, and is currently being fostered in Bristol. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

We are a foster-based rescue. All our cats reside in private homes. A meet-and-greet can be arranged for approved adopters only.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.fosterandforever.org. If all is well on your application, we will contact you about setting up a home visit by one of our volunteers.

**Please give your vet permission to release information to us as we check references.

The adoption fee for our cats covers the cost of spaying/neutering, age appropriate routine vaccinations, deworming, snap test, and flea preventive treatment. Some of our older cats are offered at a reduced fee in order to encourage placement in a permanent home.

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue that was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless animals by serving as an umbrella under which foster homes will provide care for homeless animals until loving permanent homes can be found.

We provide spay/neuter services and all necessary medical care, as well as food and supplies, and find foster homes to care for the animals we rescue until we are able to find them forever homes.
