Meet Lionel, a gentle soul with striking long fur and an adorable “scarecrow” black nose pattern that makes him truly one of a kind. At first, Lionel was shut down when he arrived at his foster mom’s house. But in a short amount of time this gentle boy slowly began to trust again. In the beginning, he hid in his crate making quiet biscuits, peeking out with soft chirps and cautious little steps. It didn’t take long for his sweetness to shine through. He loves gentle pets (and will paw for more), handles touch beautifully, and has been perfect with his litter boxes.
As he’s grown braver, he’s started exploring the house, chatting up a storm, and even playing again — a huge milestone for a kitty who once seemed so lost.
Lionel still likes cozy safe spots and gets nervous when they’re moved, but he settles quickly and is one of the most easygoing, affectionate cats his foster has met — he even enjoys having his paws pet.
All Lionel needs now is a quiet, patient home that will let him continue blooming at his own pace. His heart is soft, his spirit is gentle, and he’s so ready to love and be loved again.

All of our animals must be spayed or neutered before leaving our facility as part of our adoption contract.
The adoption fees include spay / neuter costs as well as any vaccinations administered at the shelter. All animals are microchipped and your adoption fee covers the cost of a dog license for all of our Blaine County residents.
