Hi, I’m Catarroja! I’m a quiet, gentle girl who just needs a little time to settle in and feel comfortable. At the shelter, I became a staff favorite because once I warm up, I’m very sweet and absolutely love chin and cheek scritches. I know I don’t always show my best side in a busy adoption center since I prefer spending time in my cozy cubby, which makes it harder for people to get to know me, but I promise I’m worth the extra minute. Once I left the shelter to go to my foster home, my personality popped out immediately.
I can be a couch potato but bring out a toy and I am ready to play. I have cute purrs and will even talk to you when I have something to say. I rub on your legs for attention and I have a lot of love to give. I am sensitive about my tail, so please be cautious when giving me pets near that area.
Sometimes I enjoy doing things on my own, but I can be very social when the time feels right. I’ve been around other small cats and I have shown no aggression, even when one hissed at me! I haven`t met any children, but my foster believes I have a good chance of being great around kids.
If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will blossom with patience and offer quiet affection, I’d love to meet you. I just need someone who can see past my shyness and give me the chance to show who I really am.
