Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tucker has an upbeat, happy heart. Describing him takes so many words! Playful and goofy. Gentle and sweet. Affectionate and kind. He’s a 2 yr old, 36# Border Collie. Though he may be a little shy at first, Tucker is blossoming into a confident companion. And he’s so easy to live with!
“Goofball” adores running in the yard, especially if there’s a canine friend to chase or be chased by! He’s still discovering the joy of toys, but anything that crinkles quickly becomes a favorite. Tucker has a medium energy level – he’s no couch potato. Daily exercise keeps that adorable smile on his face.
He would thrive in a home with gentle, teenage considerate kids that wouldn’t mind a four-legged lap warmer on a cold winter evening. Tucker gets along famously with other dogs and must have a compatible canine sibling in his home as a role model and BFF. His soft nature suggests he’d do well with a feline friend.
Tucker is building confidence each day. Once comfortable, his inner comedian comes out and silly antics begin. His future family can help him by providing love, patience, and positive reinforcement… and by appreciating his humor. Redirection instead of correction is the key to building him up. Training classes will also boost his self-assurance. He’s eager to learn and full of potential!
He enjoys the comfort of his crate, is learning to walk on a leash with his trusted humans by his side. Housebroken on a schedule. He absolutely must have a physically fenced yard to run zoomies! He recently spent a few days in a vacation foster home with kitties, and he respected their space like the gentleman he is.
What Tucker needs most is a family willing to help him continue growing into the incredible companion he’s meant to be.
Tucker is undergoing heartworm treatment with minimal activity restrictions. The rescue will cover the cost. Details will be provided to interested families.
Tucker is truly one of a kind. He’s ready to bond with his forever person and shower them with loyalty, affection, and a lifetime of love. Are you the one he’s been waiting for?
Tucker is being located in Shoreview, MN.
As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Tucker's adoption fee is $450 + MN sales tax. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Upon adoption, all of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
