Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Leia is a beautiful young shepherd mix, just over a year old. She was adopted as a tiny pup but recently came back to us when her home turned out to be a little too busy for her comfort. With kids and another dog in the house, it was simply more than she was ready for.
Leia is gentle, affectionate, and very sweet. She was deeply loved in her previous home, and it shows in the way she bonds with people. What Leia is looking for now is a quieter life. If she could tell us herself, she’d ask for an all-adult home with one or two people, and no other pets, where she can relax and thrive.
She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to start fresh with someone who understands her need for calm and companionship.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!
2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.
3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)
4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
