My name is Mr. Handsome!

Hi, I’m Mr. Handsome! I’m a gentle, reserved cat who appreciates the quieter things in life. You’ll usually find me perched proudly at the top of my cat tree, watching birds or surveying the room from above. I also love playtime! Tunnels, wand toys, and a sprinkle of catnip bring out my playful side in the sweetest way.

I’m a soft-spoken boy who will greet you with quiet meows and come over for cheek rubs or to sit nearby. I’m not a fan of being picked up or brushed, but if you sit on the floor, that’s when I really shine! I’ll come over, rub all over you, make my very best biscuits, and soak up all the gentle affection. Those calm, grounded moments mean the world to me.

I’ve learned something important about myself: I’m happiest as the only pet in a calm, quiet home. Other cats make me extremely anxious, and when I’m stressed, I completely shut down and can’t show my affectionate, loving personality. A stable, low-stress environment helps me feel safe, confident, and able to bond deeply with my human.

Once I settle in and trust my people, I’ll snooze on the couch with you and even sleep on the bed (I did that my very first night in foster!). I’ve learned that comfort and closeness feel pretty great. That said, I may not choose to get on furniture with everyone. My comfort level depends on how safe I feel with each individual. I’m friendly with new people once I warm up, but big changes or too many visitors can make me nervous, so a predictable, low-key home fits me best.
