My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lumi! 🤍

Lumi is a gorgeous 10-month-old, 15-pound pug mix with the sweetest, softest heart. She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, her gentle and affectionate personality starts to shine.

Lumi is still learning that people can be comforting and kind, and she’s making wonderful progress. She enjoys being picked up, cuddled, and talked to softly, and she’ll absolutely blossom in a patient, loving home.

Lumi is house trained and loves other dogs—she needs a confident dog to show her the ropes in her forever home. She’s a loyal girl just waiting for her forever person to bond with.

*Not available for transport out of state. Must be adopted locally to the San Antonio, TX area.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
