Her story is tough—but her heart is gentle. This sweet 10-year-old lap cat spent most of her life in a garage, only allowed inside when the dogs were put away. When her family moved and planned to leave her outside permanently, kind-hearted strangers stepped in and brought her to Homeward Bound for help.
Coco Chloe has a tough exterior at first, but once she bonds, she’s a devoted, loving companion who craves gentle affection on her terms. She’s a true introvert who loves curling up in a lap, quiet snuggles, and cozy naps. The challenge? She is not thriving here, and we expected that—a shelter is no place for a cat with a background like hers. She needs a home—YOUR home!

✅ Litter box trained
👩🦳 Best in a calm, adult-only home
❌ Not a fan of dogs

Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cats and people in our community. We provide counseling, information, and resources to empower people to support their cats and others in the community. If cats cannot stay with their families or neighborhoods, we prioritize our intake on cats most at risk - cats in need of rehoming; kittens who need specialized care; and cats who have been abandoned, are sick or injured, or are not thriving in the community. We are committed to ensuring the highest level of attention and care for cats in our adoption program and provide a modern, free-roaming adoption center to minimize stress, serve the individual needs of each cat, and set up both cats and adopters for success.
