Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Tiggert
Hi I’m Tiggert! And yes, I am kinda like Tigger – as in Winnie the Pooh’s “T-I-double grr!” Bouncy! Bouncy! Full of energy Tiggert! I am an approximately 10-month-old Border Collie. I am very social, affectionate, and love everyone!
This heart throb is your typical smart and high energy Border Collie. No slouch here, Tig needs an active home with a job and space to expend his exuberance. He won’t do well being cooped up all day with a couple of neighborhood walks and an occasional summer camping trip thrown in. Without sufficient outlets for his energy, he will turn to taking apart your house and yard.
His foster mom reports the following about Tig:
• Appears to be house trained.
• Crate training is progressing well.
• Not a barker and sleeps quietly all night
• Is reasonably food motivated and takes treats willingly and gently.
• Loves, loves, loves his toys.
• Knows sit and down and comes reasonably well.
• Travels well in the car.
• Leash training is going well. He is not a puller and is not adversely reactive to other dogs while on leash.
• He is good with other dogs but is going to need another dog who can match his exuberance.
Because Tig is a very active and exuberant pup, we do not recommend his placement in a home with children under 10. He has not been exposed to cats, but he will likely be too much pup for kitties as well. We do not know how he will be with chickens or livestock.
If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and adventurous companion and have the time to put into this great pup, Tig might just be your perfect match.
Tig is presently being fostered in La Pine, Oregon. He is neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations and has been wormed and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in adopting Tig and are pre-approved, please contact the adoption team at hunahapps@gmail.com.
