Meet Rory!!
This pretty girl is about a year and a half old. We believe she is a Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix of some kind. She currently weighs about 45 pounds and is done growing, aside from getting stockier.
Rory is an extremely smart, athletic girl! Her ideal home would consist of lots of exercise/mental stimulation for her mind. Rory likes to be on the move exploring new things!
She would make a great running or hiking partner, driving around on the farm with her owner assisting with chores or even having a huge yard to play in.
Rory enjoys playing with some of our other dogs here. She doesn’t mesh well with other dominant dogs as she likes to be a little more in charge and feeling in control.
She would probably not do well with a cat.
Rory is so smart and eager to please! We know she will be a good girl for her future owner!!
Rory is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $85.

You can come in anytime we are open to meet all of our adoptable animals.

2.
Submit Application

You can fill out an application our website https://hspets.org/adoption-application/ or in person.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

Once we approve your application, you can take your new family member home the same day you come to the shelter.

Additional adoption info

We require an application, but will do same day adoptions if all the necessary information can be acquired (vet reference, landlord approval). The adoption fee for our dogs is $85, adult cats are $30 and our kittens are $55. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchips, age appropriate vaccinations, a negative heartworm test (dogs) or FIV/Feleuk test (cats) and a 2 week health guarantee.

Saturday- 11am-5pm

Sunday- 1pm-5pm

Animals who have special needs/are less adoptable may also be shown by appointment outside of open hours. Offsite events are occasionally held as well.

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Stillwater operates an adoption guaranteed, nonprofit animal shelter that exists on donations from the public. We house dogs and cats until they are adopted into approved homes. We transfer cats and dogs into our shelter from other shelter's euthanasia lists and we keep them until they pick their forever families.
