My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fred is a quiet, steady little soul who prefers to take life one careful step at a time. He’s an independent kitten with a thoughtful way of observing everything around him before deciding when he’s ready to join in. He co‑exists with both dogs and cats, but he isn’t the type to jump straight into the action. Fred does best when he can begin in a calm, dedicated room of his own, giving him the space he needs to feel safe before exploring the rest of the home.

Being picked up isn’t his favorite thing right now, and that’s simply part of his gentle nature. With patience, understanding, and a family who respects his boundaries, Fred will slowly build trust and show you the quiet sweetness he keeps tucked away. His affection is subtle, but it’s real — the kind that grows gradually and feels especially meaningful once he decides you’re part of his world.

If you’re looking for a kitten who brings calm energy, thoughtful presence, and a soft heart that blooms in its own time, Fred may be the perfect match for your home.

WANT TO MEET Fred

The first step would be for you to go to our website at www.aear.org and then to the “Adopting a Pet” page to read about our Adoption Process which will answer many of your questions and then to fill out an Adoption Application.

Also, please visit our very active Facebook Page for updates on Fred and our other adoptable pets with AEAR - www.facebook.com/aear.org

All our animals available for adoption are living in foster homes. This gives us the ability to really get to know the animals we have available and find them families that are a good fit for them based on their personalities. We do not have a shelter to visit the animals.
