If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Nakita was a shelter rescue when we found her. Our male husky lost his little buddy (due to age) and we thought she could use a companion. Nakita was beaten, underweight, and a cowering dog when we brought her home. As time went on, she made up for the underweight and became a very healthy animal. However, time catches up to us all and we lost our male in Christmas 2024. We didn't know if Nakita would adapt well as she is a very social dog and likes to be the center of attention. Over the past several months we have noted that she is looking for another playmate to be around. We cannot get another dog due to being in a transitional state with career. Thus at this time she spends a lot of time in boarding as we are gone. Our best option is to find someone who has another husky (or like) that can take her to fulfill the remaining years she has.
1. We have made an assumption the second part of her bloodline is Shepard.
2. She has been an outside dog with us, but inside prior.
