Here's what the humans have to say about me:
He is 4.5 year old purebred English Springer Spaniel. We love him dearly and he is a great dog 95% of the time, but we don't know how to handle his anxiety and help him, so in return he occasionally growls. He is a great dog for the most part, but occasionally he growls and walks away - he doesn't try to bite or fight. He is completely house trained, knows basic commands and is a velcro springer.
We have worked with a trainer and he is on anxiety meds but it's at a point where we are not sure if we are the right home for him. We wonder if he would do better as an only dog or in a home that can understand his anxiety better than we can. He is very sweet and affectionate and loves the outdoors. He loves being told he is a good boy and handsome (both true).
He did bite once so we are having a hard time finding a rescue/organization that will assist us in rehoming him. We adopted him when he was 1.5 years old.
