Carl is a 4-year-old Pit Bull mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! This sweet, social boy loves people and thrives on human connection-whether it's cuddle time, walk time, or just hanging out by your side.
Carl is also great with other dogs and really enjoys playing and socializing with them. He's got a fun, friendly play style that makes him a favorite in group settings. That said, since every dog is different, a mandatory dog meet is required to ensure a good match with any resident pups.

HHHS has been a permanent part of the Topeka community since its founding May 4, 1938. The organization is incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) business for the purpose of sheltering companion animals in need of care, advocating for anti-cruelty protection of animals and promoting humane education and animal welfare issues. HHHS fosters the adoption of companion animals into responsible homes and reunites lost animals with their owners; promotes sterilization of animals to help reduce overpopulation; provides a facility accessible to the general public; serves the community with educational programs addressing animal welfare issues; and maintains a fiscally responsible organization.
