Martine and Bubba came to us from a pretty intense hoarding situation. They were living in a home with 60+ other cats. Cats that come from large hoarding situations like that often have varying levels of socialization and will require a home with patience and understanding. Hoarding cats may be very fearful in new situations and will likely require a long, slow introduction to your home and the members residing in it (both animal and human). Most of our animals need a little "extra" to be successful in a home environment - fill out an app to see if you might be a good fit!
Interview
Depending on your app, we may schedule a phone interview to discuss the particular needs of the animal you applied for.
Home Check
Quick home check to make sure that your place is suitable for their new animal.
Approve Application
After you application is approved, we schedule a time for you to meet the animal.
Take the Pet Home
We require that all of our potential adopters do at least a two week adoption trial period before finalizing.
Sign Adoption Contract
After the trial period, if you decide to finalize the adoption we'll send you the paperwork.
Pay Fee
After the contract is signed and their fee is paid, it's official!
