Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lady Spencer is available through our `Adopt From a Foster Home` program. If you are interested in scheduling a meeting, please fill out the request form here: Adopt From Foster Form. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as she is not available to meet on site.
Age: 12 years old
Lady Spencer may be getting up in years but she won`t let that stop her from chasing her toys, telling stories and cuddling up on the couch for a tv marathon. She`s got a sweet little squeak and big purr that she always brings out during brushing time - her favourite thing in the world is settling in for a gentle massage. This senior lady was quite affectionate in her previous home, but she`s still working on building confidence with her loving foster family, and likes to retreat to the closet when she needs a safe space for a nap. Don`t worry - she always comes out for dinner time! Spencer is hoping for a home without other pets, as she really just wants a peaceful space to snooze, a low-key play session every day, and a family that can see through her timid exterior to the incredible girl within. If you want a low key kitty with a lot of love to give, then you NEED a senior cat like Lady Spencer. Inquire about her today!

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
