My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Minnie!

Minnie is a 6-year-old orange short-haired beauty with a heart full of love. At first, she can be a little shy—when she arrived at her foster home, she tucked herself away under a cabinet. But within a day, she realized she was safe and decided to join the family. Since then, she’s been a total sweetheart who just wants to cuddle and soak up affection.

Minnie gets along with some cats but prefers to choose her friends, so she’d do well as an only cat or with laid-back feline companions. She has perfect litter box habits, is spayed, and is completely ready to move into her forever home.

She loves her daily treat of canned food and has her own little “apartment” where she naps until her foster mom comes in—then she happily emerges for pets and love.

If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will make herself at home in your heart, Minnie is your girl!

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Davie County is a non-profit 501c3 group seeking to make a difference in the lives of animals in Davie County and surrounding areas. The Humane Society obtained tax-exempt status in late 1998 and since then has endeavored to improve conditions for animals at the local animal shelter, raise awareness in the community about the need of spay/neuter of animals, and place numerous previously unwanted animals into loving homes. The Humane Society’s long-term goal is to eliminate the overpopulation of dogs and cats in Davie County.
