A bright, affectionate, and energetic pup, Charlie is looking for a patient, understanding adopter who can help him navigate the world at his own pace! He enjoys pets, playtime, and will happily lean in for attention from the people he trusts. He’s also a champion treat-taker and loves engaging activities like sniffy walks, training games, and enrichment toys that let him put his curiosity to good use. And he is house-trained!
Charlie is still learning how to feel comfortable with new people and new situations, so he’ll thrive in a quiet environment with a predictable routine. A single-family home, townhome, or garden-style apartment suits him best, since hallways and busy, close-quarters environments can feel overwhelming for him. Once he has time to settle and build trust, his sweet, goofy side really shines - he’s playful, loyal, and eager to connect.
Charlie has done well meeting some dogs, so a dog-meet is encouraged. He has never lived with kids or cats, so we do not know how he gets along with them. Charlie benefits from thoughtful introductions and a bit of structure, and our behavior team is happy to walk adopters through the simple, positive-reinforcement strategies that help him feel safe and successful!
If you are interested in adopting Charlie, please visit the shelter during our adoption hours.
