Look who is popping out to meet you - Jamie! In most cases, each day in a shelter takes a greater and greater toll on the dogs. But, in Jamie's case, instead of giving her stress, each day has made her braver and braver. When Jamie first came to us, we had to keep a drag line on her just so that we could catch her to get her back in her run. Now, she will happily run along side of us, play bowing all the way, as we walk to her run. And her smile - you can see it every single day. She is happy to have a routine, happy to have friends and happy to be loved every day. When we wanted to find a friend for our Maggie, the sweet girl who watched her owner die at the hands of her husband, we knew who to go to - our amazing Jamie. We knew Jamie would be respectful of Maggie's fears and hesitations and things would progress at Maggie's speed. And now, Maggie is running and flipping her toys into the air, grateful to have a friend like Jamie. So you'll understand our excitement at seeing Jamie run into the dog house in the garden and then pop back out with a smile on her face, ready to take on the world. Now, we just need to find a permanent house and family for Jamie. She is three-years-old and would be a wonderful addition for any family. At 35 pounds, she is the perfect size to snuggle right up to you and make all your bad days disappear. Come meet this gem of a girl - you will most definitely leave with a smile on your face! *Needs a home with a securely fenced yard. Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!
PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.
