My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Petunia is around 3 years old. She came from TX to a shelter in Portland, Oregon, where my son adopted her. He lives in a very busy area, a lot of foot traffic. Petunia has anxiety - she is scared of strangers, cars, outside noises (when she is outside) so taking her for walks was/is a challenge. In Portland, she enjoyed visits to dog parks and played well with other dogs. She came to me in October 2024 as both my son and I thought she would thrive in a suburban setting with a back yard to alleviate her anxiety on walks. She has a congenital condition where lymphatic fluid pools in her right front leg. This is stable.
She is not a dog who cuddles, she is more like a cat - she comes to you when she wants attention. She loves to fetch, but doesn't always bring it back. She is vigilant and spends hours looking out the window at all that is happening in the neighborhood,
She needs to be the only pet in the house.
