Meet Galaxy! This sweet baby came to us as a stray, but we have since found out she had a home. Unfortunately Galaxy was unwanted by her previous owners because of typical puppy behavior; she needs time, patience, and structure to learn things like crate and potty training. When Galaxy arrived at FCDACS she was absolutely terrified, soaked in urine, and underweight. Thankfully puppies are resilient, and Galaxy is already bouncing back. She can still be unsure in new situations and is a little shy with strangers, but with some yummy treats she really opens up. Galaxy's ideal home is ready to give her lots of positive reinforcement, and give her the time and patience to learn general household manners. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Galaxy home. OUR MISSION: It is the mission of the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center & Shelter to provide an environment of continuous improvement; emphasizing excellent service and safety for the community; providing the dogs and people of Fairfield County protection, care, and compassion with innovative, yet sustainable means; all while maintaining a standard of the utmost integrity.
