Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Starfire is a lovely 3-month old female kitten who was brought to the HSOV on August 11, 2025 along with her four siblings (Blackfire, Cyborg, Nightwing and Robin) and her mother (Silky). Unfortunately the individual who left them in our care did not provide any background information about this little family.
Starfire has a beautifully-marked black-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, a large black splotch on her nose, a white 'handlebar' mustache, and long white whiskers. Starfire has a patch of black on the middle of her lower lip which gives her the most endearing appearance when she raised her head to look up at you.
Starfire was given vaccinations and wormer on August 14, 2025. She weighed 3.3 lbs that day and is the largest of her siblings. Starfire was given booster vaccines on August 28, 2025.
Since the kittens were fully-weaned and self-sufficient, they were separated from their mother Silky .. And they have been enjoying a large cat tower where they play non-stop with occasional catnaps.
Starfire and her four siblings acquired a 'bonus sister' when an orphaned/single kitten (Chanterelle) was placed with them so that Chanterelle would not be lonely ... Much to the delight of everyone .. Little Chanterelle was accepted into the family as one of their own (smile).
Thanks to HSOV Kennel Techs Lauryn Hamilton and Hannah McClain for helping Starfire and her siblings with their 'big girl/big boy' photos on September 1, 2025. Each of the kittens had their own unique style of posing but the one thing they all had in common were their outgoing, playful personalities. Starfire was the last participant in the photo sessions. When she heard how her sister/brothers had posed for their pictures, Starfire knew that she had to 'step up her game' in order to compete .. so Starfire decided to show us that she was the most playful of her siblings. Starfire talked a good game and gave it her best shot (smile).
Starfire and her brothers/sisters will be spayed/neutered in the near future and will soon be ready to find fabulous homes of their very own. Naturally we'd love to see them adopted with one of their brothers/sisters since kittens do so much better in pairs.
Starfire was spayed on October 1, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine.
Update: Starfire was adopted on November 28, 2025 .. And the news gets even better since she was adopted with her brother Robin!
