My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Champagne and Pearl are a devoted pair who simply adore each other. These two have formed a strong and loving bond-they're always together, often seen grooming one another, sharing food, or cooing in harmony. Their gentle nature and obvious affection for each other make them an absolute joy to be around.

Pearl, the female, is calm and nurturing, often snuggling close to Champagne, who's curious and social with both birds and humans. They bring out the best in each other and will do best in a home that appreciates their sweet companionship.

This bonded pair will need to be adopted together, and they'll thrive in a calm, indoor space with natural light, perches, and plenty of time to simply be doves-together. They eat a healthy mix of seeds, grains, and fresh greens, and will grow more comfortable with their people through gentle, respectful interaction.

To adopt Champagne and Pearl: Please fill out the Bird Pre-Adoption Questionnaire, which can be found here, https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/bird-pre-adoption-questionnaire/, and include details about your experience with birds (or research you've done), and where you plan to keep them. We'd also love any additional information or photos of your set up! These can be sent to us at penticton@spca.bc.ca.
