My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Platinum and Opal are an incredibly sweet bonded pair of doves who are looking for a forever home together. These two are inseparable-wherever one goes, the other follows! They spend their days cooing softly, grooming each other, and snuggling side by side. Their gentle affection for one another is heartwarming to witness, and they'll bring that same calm, loving energy into your home.

Opal, the male, is a bit more confident and curious, often leading the way, while Platinum, the female, is more reserved but loves to cuddle up close. Together, they balance each other beautifully. They thrive in a peaceful environment and would love a spacious indoor aviary or safe enclosed setup where they can perch, explore, and relax.

Like all doves, they enjoy a varied diet of seeds, grains, and fresh greens, and benefit from gentle human interaction. With patience and kindness, they'll grow to trust their people, especially if you take time to sit nearby and quietly enjoy their company.

To adopt Opal & Platinum siblings: Please fill out the Bird Pre-Adoption Questionnaire, which can be found here, https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/bird-pre-adoption-questionnaire/, and include details about your experience with birds (or research you've done), and where you plan to keep them. We'd also love any additional information or photos of your set up! These can be sent to us at penticton@spca.bc.ca.
