If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Cas is a black smoke medium hair who is ten years old. We rescued him from a shelter when he was a kitten to be a companion for our other cat, before we had children. He loves to carry socks around the house and runs up to greet us. He comes when he is called. He plays with our other cat, but sometimes plays too hard and she doesn’t like it. He is sweet to adults and purrs really loud, and loves being pet. He needs medications before he can be seen at the vet for his anxiety, but he has been an inside cat his entire life and is very healthy/hearty and hasn’t ever needed any medical care outside of getting normal vaccines. He is very friendly with adults, but has now scratched my children on several occasions with no warning- once when my child was laying in bed getting ready to sleep. When it happens, it’s like he sees something that isn’t there. My children are afraid of him, and I can’t have him in our house anymore. We are looking for an understanding adult home for him.
