Yep, that’s my name—and just like the snack, I’m soft, twisty, and totally irresistible. I was found in Algonac, and when I first came to my foster mom, I was a little shy and hissy. I wasn’t mean, I was just scared. Once I realized I was safe, my true personality came out—and wow, do I have a lot to say!
I’m a chatty, smushy, playful, and sweet house panther who loves to be part of the action. My favorite buddies to play with are Bert and Sunburst, but honestly, I’ll play with any cat once I’ve had a minute to size them up. I like to set some boundaries at first… and then I usually forget all about them because I’m too busy having fun.
I’m looking for a forever home where I’ll be loved for the silly, affectionate, and downright sweet dude I am. If you’ve got a playful kitty already, even better—I’d love a friend to zoom, wrestle, and nap with.
Soft Pretzel is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
