My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Quack – A Gentle Soul in a Tiny Fluffy Body

Quack may have a funny name, but he’s got the sweetest, softest heart. The shyest of his siblings, Quack is still figuring out that people can be pretty great—especially when they come with yummy treats and a gentle touch.

New faces and loud voices can make him a little nervous, but with patience, quiet love, and maybe a few extra snacks, he’s starting to come out of his shell. Day by day, he’s learning that laps are cozy, scratches feel nice, and people can be trusted.

Quack is looking for someone special—someone who understands that love sometimes takes time, and that the quietest kittens often turn into the most devoted companions. In the right home, Quack is sure to blossom into a loyal little cuddle buddy who just needed a little extra time to bloom.

FMAR felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
