My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Forky is as unique as his name! This gorgeous tabby boy's favorite toy are his foster's plastic fork and his yellow bird! He's easy to please and such a sweet guy -- truly a perfect solo starter cat! His foster says he's a "shadow cat" who follows her from room to room. He's also turned into a lap cat.

Aside from his looks and entertaining and affectionate spirit, his greatest feature is that he sleeps through the night. Once the lights go out, he just rests with his foster.

So far, he doesn't love other cats, so he's best off solo but could live with a friendly, chill adult cat, as long as introductions are slow and patient.

Forky is neutered, up to date on vaccines, free of fleas and parasites, and negative for FeLV. He tested positive for FIV but is asymptomatic and healthy. With the proper care (a good diet and annual vet visits, as for any cat), he will live a long life.

If you'd like to adopt Forky, please fill out the application on our website: https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/

Mention Forky as the cat, and Suse as the rescuer.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters first fill out an adoption application, after which they can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt and their application is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for an adoption fee to help us continue our work.
