Alegra was a very young mom who was surrendered to us with her kittens. She was a great mom and while some of her kittens have found their forever home, it's now her turn to be as lucky as them. Alegra is a social and playful 1 year old cat that approaches all volunteers for a head bump or treat. She loves to swing on her hammock, watch Youtube Cat TV and groom time, she enjoys a good brushing. She has already been spayed, microchipped, UTD on all her vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/Felv and dewormed. Alegra and her wonderfully socialized kittens are NOT at the shelter. They are in Foster care in New City where they can be visited 7 days a week, morning or evening appointments. Please contact Nixie at gentlesouls@aol.com or call the shelter at 845-414-9700 to schedule a meet and greet. Consider a visit with Alegra and her kittens, you won't be disappointed! Thank you.

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which allows us to check certain points of reference (vets, home ownership status, previous pets, etc). If the application looks good, the adopter signs the adoption contract which states, among other things, the animal(s) will have a permanent home with said adopter and if for any reason this becomes impossible, the animal must be returned to Four Legs Good. Four Legs Good reserves the right to place a follow-up phone call or visit, with notice, within the first year of adoption.

Four Legs Good is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing the most humane treatment of Rockland County animals in need. We started as a small group of dedicated volunteers who decided to make a difference in the lives of feral, homeless and abandoned animals. We are currently working out of the RG CARES Animal Shelter.
