My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Fantastic Mr. Fox was brought in by a community member on September 2, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Fantastic Mr. Fox - part gentleman, part rascal and 100% the star of his own story. This dashing fellow is friendly, charming and always ready to make you feel like you've just met the most important cat in the world (because, of course, you have). He bonded quickly with his foster family and has shared his affectionate, cuddly and playful personality. He enjoys lap snuggles and will also entertain you with his agile moves and toy stalking. Now, let's be clear: Mr. Fox is a solo act. In his previous life, he was known to throw paws at the neighborhood cats, so he's looking for a home where he can be the one and only leading man. No sidekicks, no co-stars - just Fox, in all his glorious, whiskered splendor. He may need a little dental work down the road, but don't worry - he's still got plenty of bite when it comes to personality! Adopt him, and you'll have a Fantastic feline companion who's the perfect blend of relaxed and active. Don't forget to bring a secure cat carrier for a safe ride home!

At SDHS:
Fantastic Mr. Fox has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
