My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gia is a true little survivor with a heart just as strong as her story. As a kitten, she was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP)—once considered fatal—but after nearly three months of daily treatment and the support of Alleycats & Aristocats, she made a remarkable recovery. Today, Gia is healthy, playful, and full of love, ready to enjoy the happy life she fought so hard for. She does carry a few small reminders of her journey, including a cloudy right eye, mild nasal congestion, and the occasional litter box accident if she’s startled or excited, but none of it slows her down or dims her sweet spirit.

Petite and affectionate, Gia enjoys attention and gets along well with other cats, though she’s confident enough to stand her ground when needed. She’s off all treatment and doesn’t require any special diet or medications—just a simple daily supplement for congestion—and her future vet should be aware of her medical history. FIP is not contagious to other animals or humans.

Gia’s resilience, charm, and loving nature make her truly special. She’s ready for a forever home that will embrace her quirks and celebrate the miracle she is.

Gia is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, routinely treated for fleas and worms, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV and heartworm. Her estimated DOB is 5/31/2024.

Additional adoption info

All of our cats/kittens come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org, which includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new furbaby into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours.

To ensure healthy development, we do not adopt out single kittens under 4 months old unless there is already another cat in the home. Kittens learn essential behaviors from other felines, and early socialization reduces the risk of future behavioral issues.
