Meet Katara! Rescued from the streets of West Oakland as a sick baby, Katara was the most fragile of her litter and had us worried in the beginning. But just like her namesake from Avatar: The Last Airbender, she’s proven to be strong, resilient, and full of quiet determination.
Katara is a sleek, long-haired black beauty who loves playtime and enjoys gentle pets. She’s a little more independent than her siblings, but when she chooses to give affection, it feels extra special. She may not always be in your lap, but she’ll always be close by, keeping watch with her wise little eyes.
Because Katara thrives with feline companionship, she must be adopted with a sibling or into a home that already has another cat to keep her company.
Katara is 4 months old, spayed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested FIV/FeLV negative.

Adopting a cat is a big responsibility and commitment, but it's also one of the biggest acts you can ever do for an animal in need.
Each and every cat in our care has their own story and background. They are all fully vetted, fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative (unless otherwise specified). Because of this, our adoption fee is $95 for one cat over 1-year-old or $155 for 2 and $110 for one cat under 1-year-old or $195 for 2.
Our approval process includes a vet reference (personal reference if you've not had a vet in the last 5 years), virtual home tour, and landlord approval should you be a renter.
The completion of an application does not guarantee approval for adoption.
