Our little rogue started as a very hissy kitten who began to blossom once he realized no one was going to grab or handle him without his consent. As a community kitten, well-meaning citizens tried to catch him by hand until our team stepped in to help. Varric needs a confident, adult cat role model to show him the ropes; his “mama” (his foster mom’s fluffy tortie, Mirage), is playful, cuddly, confident, chatty, and easygoing. He would be happiest in a INDOOR-ONLY home with a playful cat companion and people who will take things slow. He has been introduced to large, calm, livestock guardians and small, senior terriers-but he is naturally hesitant and anxious around them. He lives with adults who work full time. This ‘base baby’ came from Travis Air Force Base and is named after the Dragon Age series companion.

Interview
Interview and in home meet and greet are typically done on the same day, it helps everyone get to know each other.

Sign Adoption Contract
If all goes well, you sign the contract, get a full medical and behavioral summary, and pay our adoption fee. You are given copies.

We have an open door policy and provide ongoing counseling during the adjustment period as well.

We work hard to educate the community about why spaying and neutering is important. We only take cats that are non adoptable in shelters which includes feral, abused, abandoned, and traumatized cats and kittens. We heal them inside and out using positive reinforcement and force free techniques. Last, we provide assistance to low income families to help them fix their pets, provide food to feral cat colony managers, and sponsor adoption fees for those who need a pet and can afford their care but not an additional fee.
